Visit to Wurlitzer, A (Part II)
The second part of the Wurlitzer factory tour continues through assembly, electronics, and finished instruments. Workers in white shirts and aprons assemble curved metal parts and frames, fit components onto jukebox chassis, and kneel to work on jukebox interiors, intercut with a man singing at a piano. The factory floor is busy with industrial presses, drill presses cutting metal plates, workers using wrenches, screwdrivers, and measuring tools, and mechanical pins driven into rotating wheels as metal shavings fall. An electronics section shows technicians at radio and testing equipment, women operating control panels with knobs, workers soldering and manipulating wires and small components on circuit boards and chassis, and fine adjustments to coils. Assembly lines move jukebox frames and metal rings, with men pulling levers, rotating vertical components, and driving a forklift through the warehouse. Workplace life appears in a cafeteria with a mixer, hand-washing sinks, food lines, and workers eating, playing cards, and resting on the lawn, plus a nurse bandaging a worker's hand. The film ends with keyboard and organ assembly, women working on electronic keyboards, a man playing a large electronic organ, a suited spokesman at a desk, and a woman playing grand piano on stage before the Wurlitzer Music logo appears.
